Natural Bumblebee Stone Pendant
Bumblebee Jasper is mined in Indonesia from the side of a volcano by a company called Indoagate.com. The vivid colors are from sulfur and arsenic compounds. Bumblebee Jasper is not a true jasper but a stone called Travertine and has a calcite base making it soft but brilliant colored.
Bumblebee jasper is a relatively rare stone from west Java in Indonesia. Although widely reported to come from Mount Papandayan, this location has only been used as a landmark close to where the stone is found. It is a powerful stone for manifestation.

The generic name Bombus, assigned by Pierre André Latreille in 1802, is derived from the Latin word for a buzzing or humming sound, borrowed from Ancient Greek βόμβος (bómbos).
