Natural Tiger Eyes Stone
Tiger’s eye (also called tiger eye) is a chatoyant gemstone that is usually a metamorphic rock with a golden to red-brown colour and a silky lustre. As members of the quartz group, tiger’s eye and the related blue-coloured mineral hawk’s eye gain their silky, lustrous appearance from the parallel intergrowth of quartz crystals and altered amphibole fibres that have mostly turned into limonite. The major source of Tiger’s Eye is Griquatown West, in South Africa. It is also found at Wittenoom Gorge, Western Australia.
Tiger eye stone is the birthstone of the Gemini zodiac sign. It can also be worn by people with 2 and 7 as their lucky numbers/birth numbers. As a power stone Tiger’s Eye has a wonderful reputation for attracting wealth, money and luck. However it has some powerful spiritual uses as well.Tigers Eye is good for growing your confidence and strength and it is known as the stone of courage.
